Today I started the final stage of the deconstruction for my Z. I had a fire in the engine bay some time ago, and I am now in the process of removing the paint, so I can initiate a color change.The paint was severely damaged by the fire, battery acid and brake fluid. I decided that, because of this, I would strip it to bare metal using my soda blaster and a DA sander. The sander works faster, but it cannot reach most of the multifaceted surfaces in the engine bay. Here are some pics after using 50 lbs of baking soda, and 3 400 grit sanding dics: 



And I'm off to Harbor Freight tomorrow for another 200 lbs of baking soda!
